Resistance

“To talk not about the heroes who were active and fought with weapons, but of the simple people who resisted.”

Vladka Meed, liaison girl in Warsaw ghetto, author of On Both Sides of the Wall, and educator

The experiences of our survivors yield many examples of resistance. It came in many forms. Jumping from a “death train,” stealing from a German kitchen, saying “no” to a German, not flinching under the whip, not giving up, all were acts of resistance.
